Finding Freedom through Friendship

Assisting Widows in Developing Countries With Their Critical Needs

Finding Freedom through Friendship, Inc., (FFF), was established in 2009 by Jody Greenlee (Director) as a non-profit organization, to meet the needs of widows and their children in the villages of northwestern Guatemala.

Today We Are Expanding Into Eqypt.

In November 2016, Finding Freedom through Friendship (FFF) (Lexington, KY USA) and Council of Services & Development (CSD) (Cairo, Egypt) joined hands to improve the standard of living (socio-economic conditions) of disadvantaged and poor families especially female-headed households.  CSD is a department in Synod of the Nile in Egypt.

Our holistic mission is to improve the economic, health, education and nutritional condition for targeted families

to enable them to become economically self-sufficient and independent.

Furthermore, the program protects women and children (especially young girls) from abuse and exploitation.

The success in our Guatemala program during the last nine years, demonstrates the successful reversal of poverty --

not only to the household head but to the subsequent generation (s) --- the children.

The stories of 24 women and more than 100 children exposes the Love of God which was bestowed upon the needy.

They beauty of this program is the impact to the family today and moreover for the generations after.

The Goal Is Three-Fold

Improve the health of the participants through nutrition, vitamins and basic healthcare.

Break the yoke of poverty by providing education to the children in program.

Improve the family’s quality of life through a sustainable structure

(housing, furniture, micro loans & finance a skill)
